Creating and Deleting Entries
Create an Entry
Delete an Entry
- Go to the Logbook tab
- In the top right corner press the "+" sign
- Fill out text boxes
- Rate: Select from the rates listed. This list is auto-populated with values from the Rate Book (see below) Or type any custom rate you wish to use
- Distance: Manually enter mileage or use one of the automated methods below
- Trip Track: Opens up a GPS guided map tracker that you can use to automatically track the mileage you are accruing for this entry
- Odometer: Enter in the ending and starting odometer values, distance will be calculated automatically
- Expenses: Press the "Add" button under the expense section to add an expense. Add title, cost, and an optional image of the receipt. Press the "Delete" button to remove expenses after they have been saved
- Press the "Save" button to save the entry
Delete an Entry
- From the Logbook tab, tap down one level to view individual entries.
- Press the "..." in the top right and then press "Edit" and select entries to remove. Press "Done" when finished. You can also swipe left on individual entries and delete them.
Full Automatic Tracking
Full automatic tracking is supported in this app. You can start automatic recording, leave the app running in the background and it will do it's best to create individual entries based on your travels and stops.
From the Logbook tab press the steering wheel icon in the top left. This will start automatic trip tracking. Press the down Arrow at the top left to end automatic tracking. Note that you need to allow the app to have access to your location at all times. You also need to allow for notifications if you want to get alerts when the app detects a stop, and logs a trip.
To adjust app permissions after the fact you need to go to your general device settings, scroll down to find the app, and set the appropriate permission levels.
Settings
From the automatic tracking page, press the gear button at the top right side of the screen

Settings
From the automatic tracking page, press the gear button at the top right side of the screen
- Idle Timer: After the specified time the app will log the trip and location
- Vehicle, Category, Purpose, Rate: Set the default values to be used when recording an automatic trip. Leave blank if you wish to fill them in later.
- The destination will automatically be filled in depending on where you stop. Descriptions will vary based on available information.
Rate Book
Add mileage rates for varying purposes. Rates shown here will be available via a drop down menu when you create or edit Logbook entries.
- Press the "+" button to add a new rate.
- Press the "Edit" button to rearrange rates and delete. Press the "Done" button when finished. You can also swipe left on an entry and select "Delete" for that entry.
Exporting Logs
- From the Logbook tab press the "..." button and select "Export"
- Whatever is currently shown on the Logbook summary will be Exported.
- Export as HTML or in CSV format. Images can only be exported in HTML format.
Settings
Display Options
- Unit: Display units in Miles or Km. Note that switching between the two is for visual display only, it does not covert values from one to the other
- Grouping: Groups Logbook entries by Date, Category, Vehicle, Purpose, or Destination
- Sort: Ascending or Descending order
- Decimal Distance: Enable or disable the use of decimal values in distance input (i.e. 100 vs 100.1)
- 1/1000 Fractional Rate Input: Enable or disable fractional rates in the Rate Book (i.e. $1.234 vs $1.23)
- Export Date Range: Export Logbook data using a date range, no other sort or filtering
- Load US YYYY Mileage Rates: Loads current mileage rates for the United States
- Reset All Autocomplete Boxes: Resets all autocomplete boxes. You can rebuild the autocomplete based on existing Logbook entries, or start from scratch
- Delete Logs: Permanently deletes all log entries from all devices
- Delete Rate Book: Permanently deletes all rate book entries from all devices
In-App Purchases
- Press the "Menu" button at the top right
- Select "In-App Purchases"
- Select the purchase you'd like to make and press "Buy".
- Enter your Apple ID and Password.
- Confirm purchase and wait for processing.
- If your have previously purchased the product but have lost the purchase on the device click “Restore” and input your Apple ID and Password to restore the purchase.
- NOTE: You must purchase the product with the same Apple ID that you used to download the App.
